The so-called DISH coupling style (the name 'dish' deriving from the shape of the adapter) is in widespread use – not only in Italy. One reason for its success is that the claw coupling principle may be used singlehandedly. Several manufacturers however failed the difficult task of making this coupling type both durable and failsafe against accidental misuse.
